Wir haben seitens der Gastfreundschaft und dem Service der Touristeninformation noch nie so viel Engagement erlebt und möchten uns daher persönlich auf diesem Weg bei Ihnen bedanken.
Es begann schon damit, dass uns zwei freundliche junge Herren Ihrer Touristeninformation bereits an Bord des Schiffes mit vielen Informationen versorgten. So waren wir für die Erkundung der Stadt zu Fuß schon sehr gut informiert. Unterwegs trafen wir dann überall auf freundliche Helfer in leuchtenden Jacken, welche jederzeit weiterhalfen. So etwas haben wir noch in keiner Stadt erlebt.
Auch die Einwohner Ihrer Stadt begegneten uns sehr freundlich, offen und hilfsbereit".

Hello, I'm not sure where to send this so hope you can direct to the appropriate people.
Last month we visited Aarhus as a stop on our cruise. I have to confess I knew nothing of the city and saw it as a bit of a 'gap filler' on the trip but I was happily proved very wrong.
As soon as we stepped off the ship there were people to greet us and make us feel so welcome, offer directions and advice, and even correct my pronunciation of Den Gamle By! As we walked up there we passed other helpers on the way, all friendly and helpful, not at all pushy, just wanting to make sure we had a great visit.
We had a fantastic time in Den Gamle By, and then enjoyed the rest of our afternoon wandering round the city. It was clear to us, especially along the canal as we walked through, that there has been redevelopment and it is a lovely area. We live close to Liverpool and saw the amazing changes in the city in the run up to it being European capital of culture in 2008.
From our short time in Aarhus it seems that you are experiencing the same. I wish you every success. We really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the people we met, and am sure that all your visitors in your special year in 2017 will feel the same.
